Job summary

Family Care Center in Cibolo, TX, is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide care under physician or nurse practitioner supervision. You will coordinate patient care, escort patients, record vitals, and assist with injections and telemedicine as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completed MA training, and may hold CMA/RMA and BLS credentials. 1 year of MA experience and EMR familiarity are preferred in a fast-growing clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training program as a medical assistant required.
• 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant preferred, Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.
• RMA or CMA certification or preferred, BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document chief complaints, allergies, medications and pertinent information.
• Measure vital signs and document in patient chart.
• Communicate with patients per physician or nurse practitioner instructions.
• Provide written prescriptions for patients and document appropriately.
• Ensure reports, labs and information are uploaded into the medical record prior to appointments.
• Triage and process portal and phone messages from patients to physicians; verify requests and refills.
