Job summary

HealthTexas Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the provider with examinations and nursing tasks, while following clinic policies and delivering compassionate care.

You will assist with patient preparation, procedures, EMR documentation, specimen collection, and patient education, working in a fast-paced clinic environment in San Antonio, TX. Clinical ladder and generous onboarding support are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a recognized Medical Assistant Certification program preferred.
• CPR certification is required.
• Phlebotomy and/or Venipuncture certificate may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient preparation and assist with examinations; support provider as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy according to HIPAA requirements.
• Document tests and results in EMR and coordinate care with team.
• Assist with procedures (EKG, stress tests, wound care, phlebotomy) as directed.
• Keep rooms, equipment, and supplies organized and sterile; manage charting workflows.
