Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant - Behavioral Health in Oregon for a full-time day position. The role supports physicians and providers, performs room prep, vitals, injections, and data entry in the EMR.

The team emphasizes confidentiality and patient-centered care within an inclusive clinic setting. The ideal candidate holds an accredited MA program or MOA certification, with 1+ year in a medical office, national MA certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Assistant program or MOA certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
• National Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA/AMT/NCCT etc.) required per state standards.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
• Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures; record histories and vitals.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Administer injections and basic wound care as directed.
• Schedule tests and follow-up appointments; assist with coordination.
• Enter data into electronic medical records and maintain patient files.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to ensure smooth operations.
