Job summary

Copa Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical services under the supervision of a BHMP. You will perform vital signs, venipuncture, urine collection, and specimen handling, alongside non-clinical duties such as updating patient demographics and scheduling tests.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, MA certification from a recognized program, CPR, and preferred experience in behavioral health. This role offers a strong team environment in Arizona.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• MA certification from CAAHEP/ABHES or an accredited MA program.
• Minimum 1 year of behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take appropriate vital signs and document them timely.
• Relay abnormal findings to the supervising RN.
• Perform venipuncture and collect urine for testing.
• Send drawn blood or tissue samples to the referral laboratory.
• Assist in calling in prescriptions for patients per provider approval.
