Job summary

Southwest Network is hiring a Medical Assistant in Phoenix, AZ to provide clinical support under physician or NP direction. You will perform vital signs, phlebotomy, ECGs, and specimen processing while coordinating care with PCPs and the treatment team.

Responsibilities include maintaining medical records, arranging tests, and assisting with prior authorizations. Travel between clinics may be required to cover PCP services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates preferred.
• Medical Assistant certificate required.
• Phlebotomy experience required; CPR/First Aid certifications needed.
• Experience in psychiatric/behavioral health settings preferred but not required.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license and car insurance are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical assisting duties including vitals, injections, ECGs, and specimen prep.
• Coordinate care with PCPs, schedule appointments, obtain medical records.
• Document services in electronic medical records accurately and timely.
• Handle prior authorizations and pharmacy communications with the treatment team.
• Float across four adult clinics to support PCP services.
