Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Monroe is seeking LPNs to join a 82-bed acute care team focused on mental and behavioral health. Shifts are 12 hours with a 2/3 rotation, and opportunities include inpatient and outpatient care for adults.

Required: Louisiana LPN license and completion of an approved Practical Nursing program. One year of LPN experience is preferred, with emphasis on behavioral health or geriatrics. Comprehensive benefits are offered for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Certification from approved Practical Nursing Program.
• Louisiana LPN license to practice in the state.
• One year LPN experience preferred, behavioral health/geriatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using scales and collect data to identify needs.
• Communicate assessment findings to the care team.
• Document findings thoroughly in the patient record.
• Implement care plans with other health professionals.
• Administer medications following safety procedures and document doses.
• Take vital signs and record in the medical record.
• Transcribe orders accurately and audit charting per guidelines.
• Coordinate with disciplines to ensure continuity of care.
