Job summary

Beacon Behavioral Hospital, Inc. in Lutcher, LA is seeking an LPN for inpatient behavioral health to monitor patients, administer medications, and assist with procedures under RN/physician supervision. PRN shifts include 7AM-7PM and 7PM-7AM to cover 24/7 needs. Clinical responsibilities require BLS certification and ability to pass background checks; flexibility to work nights

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in the state of employment.
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
• BLS certification.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, patient care, and medical terminology.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering prescribed medications, and assisting with daily living activities.
• Collaborate with registered nurses and physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in medical records to ensure continuity of care.
• Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the healthcare team promptly.
• Assist with medical procedures and ensure that all equipment and supplies are prepared and maintained according to hospital standards.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-discharge care instructions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
