Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our patient care team in Michigan. You will work under supervision of an RN, assist with nursing processes, and help patients with activities of daily living in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Required: Michigan LPN licensure, high school diploma, current BLS certification, and CEUs for re-licensure. Proficiency with an EHR and Windows-based systems is expected.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• CEUs required for re-licensure.

Responsibilities

• The LPN works directly under the supervision of an RN.
• Assists the RN in applying the nursing process to assigned patients.
• Provides or assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Documents assessments, interventions and patient responses in the EHR and initiates care plans.

Full time Shift: Description: Education Minimum: High School diploma. Graduate from a state accredited nursing program. Current State of Michigan Practical Nurse Licensure (LPN) required. Completes required elements to maintain Michigan Practical Nurse licensure. Must maintain current BLS certification and CEUs for re-licensure. .

Related Experience

Minimum: Experience in a healthcare setting as an LPN. Preferred: Hospital experience.

Computer Competency

Familiarity with standard desktop and Windows based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet, and computer navigation. Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions.

Physical/Mental

Minimum: Physically and mentally capable of performing position requirements. Must be able to push, pull or lift a minimum of 35 pounds. Frequent standing, walking. Occasional bending stooping, twisting. Ability to hear speech, speak, use near-far vision and fine motor skills. Ability to perform continuously detailed tasks with frequent interruptions and work prioritization.
