Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital is seeking an LPN for an acute care unit serving seniors. Under RN direction you will assess patients, perform delegated tasks, and assist with medications within the LPN scope. Shifts are full-time, three 12-hour days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
You will administer treatments, monitor vitals, collect specimens, and provide patient care with emphasis on safety and comfort for older adults.
Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital, 3 Lacks is a 32 all private bed acute care unit that serves patients that are 65 & older. A high acuity adaptable unit; regularly have patients who are on telemetry, cardiac drips, high-flow oxygen; bi-pap; etc. Under the general direction of the Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN provides direct patient care to all ages of patients. The LPN assists the Registered Nurse - RN in performing and coordinating direct patient care for a specific group of patients. Full access to medications is given to the incumbent of this position as the job responsibilities include handling, preparing, and administering medications within the LPN scope of practice and job description.
Full-Term Three 12-hour shifts per week 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Under the direction of the RN, assists with the initial and ongoing assessment of assigned patients through observation. and data collection, as delegated by the R.N. Performs activities which may be delegated by the RN and/or Physician, including but not limited to:
