Job summary

Windsor Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Medicine in Willoughby, Ohio, seeks an Intake Assessor to perform assessment and referral work, interfacing with medical staff, treatment teams, and external case managers. The role contributes to delivering both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults.

Qualified applicants hold a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field, or are licensed RNs, with 2+ years in psychiatric settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health or a related field, or licensed RN.
• A minimum of two (2) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable.
• Trained in Non-violent physical crisis intervention and CPR prior to accepting independent assignment.

Responsibilities

• The Intake Assessor handles the Assessment and Referral activities at the facility.
• Interfaces closely with the medical staff, fellow department members and administration, treatment team/external case managers/managed care organizations.
