Job summary

Windsor Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Medicine in Willoughby, OH seeks an Intake Assessor to support assessment and referral activities in a behavioral health setting. The role interfaces with medical staff, treatment teams, case managers, and managed care organizations to coordinate patient care.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in a related field and at least two years of clinical experience in mental health, with training in crisis intervention and CPR.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, mental health or related field; or MS in nursing.
• Minimum two years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric/mental health setting.
• Trained in Non-violent crisis intervention and CPR prior to independent assignment or orientation release.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; diplomacy and discretion are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle the intake assessment and referral activities at the facility.
• Interface closely with medical staff, treatment team, external case managers and managed care organizations.
• Contribute to patient evaluation, treatment planning and coordinating care across teams.
