The Pavilion at Williamsburg Place in Williamsburg, VA is seeking an Intake Clinician (PRN/part-time) to facilitate admissions, perform clinical intake assessments, and manage prior authorizations. The role requires a Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field, and state-appropriate licensure may be required.

Experience in mental health settings and utilization is preferred. This onsite position supports the admissions process and collaborates with clinical teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, psychology, mental health or a related field.
• One or more years’ experience in mental/behavioral health in clinical or observational settings preferred.
• Experience with managed care pre-certification, level of care assessments, and utilization preferred.
• Current licensure (RN, LCSW, LPC or other relevant clinical license) as required by the state.

Responsabilités

• Facilitates intake, admission, and prior authorization for incoming patients.
• Performs insurance benefit verifications and communicates findings to patients and staff.
• Provides coverage for call center duties during peak times and supports pre-certifications.
• Assesses patient status during admission and prior authorization, communicates recommendations to physicians.
• Maintains documentation related to admissions and coordinates with clinical staff.
