The Pavilion at Williamsburg Place in Williamsburg, Virginia is seeking an Intake RN for the day shift (8am-6:30pm). The role focuses on patient intake, admissions processing, insurance verification, and clinical coordination to ensure timely admissions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• RN license must be valid in the state/state compact if applicable.
• Experience in mental health admissions is preferred.
• Strong communication and assessment skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate admissions and initial evaluations for incoming patients.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure appropriate admissions.
• Handle call center duties, verify insurance and pre-certifications.
• Review charts for medical necessity and obtain physician orders.
• Educate patients on side effects and monitor medication compliance.
• Document thoroughly across shifts and manage admission processes.
