Suncoast Behavioral Health Center, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine facility upkeep, safety checks and ensure the building operates safely and efficiently in Bradenton, Florida.

The role involves basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical and HVAC work, preventive maintenance, and coordination with clinical staff to support patient and staff safety.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in behavioral health or hospital settings.
• Valid Florida driver's license is required.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• General facility maintenance including carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring and minor plumbing.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and HVAC components under supervision.
• Prioritize and close work orders with timely documentation.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance per regulatory guidelines.
• Adhere to safety practices, PPE use, lockout/tagout and safe ladder/hand-tool operations.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff and communicate with clinical teams.
