Job summary

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform routine facility maintenance and ensure the building operates safely and efficiently. The role supports a behavioral health setting and requires adherence to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in healthcare or hospital settings.
Must have valid, current Florida Driver License.
Experience in electrical distribution, plumbing, heating/AC, water/sewer systems, and safety equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform general facility maintenance including carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring and minor plumbing.
Troubleshoot electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and HVAC components under supervision.
Prioritize and close work orders with timely documentation.
Perform inspections and preventive maintenance per regulatory guidelines.
Follow safety practices including PPE use, lockout/tagout, and safe ladder/hand-tool operations.
Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff and communicate with clinical teams.
