Northside Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct patient care for individuals with mental health disorders and chemical dependency. The role supports safety and therapeutic milieu within the unit and may include ED technician duties during shifts.
The position requires an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field and either 1 year of related experience or 3 years in psychiatric settings, plus valid BLS certification. Weekend work is required.

Provides direct patient care and supportive services to patients with mental health disorders as well as chemically dependent patients to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients. Carries out a variety of patient care activities which support the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu, and which meet the patient's needs for comfort and safety. May also perform the duties and responsibilities of an Emergency Department Technician.
