Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a dedicated professional for night-shift care in behavioral health. The role involves providing direct patient care and supportive services to patients with mental health disorders and chemically dependent patients, ensuring safety and comfort in a high-acuity environment.

The candidate will work 7PM-7AM with rotating weekend duties and may also perform Emergency Department Technician responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related behavioral health field with 1 year of behavioral health experience, OR
• 3 years of experience in inpatient psychiatric settings.
• Must hold American Heart Association BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and supportive services to behavioral health and chemically dependent patients, supporting safety and wellbeing.
• Maintain the therapeutic milieu to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• May perform the duties of an Emergency Department Technician.

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care and supportive services to patients with mental health disorders as well as chemically dependent patients to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients. Carries out a variety of patient care activities which support the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu, and which meet the patient's needs for comfort and safety. May also perform the duties and responsibilities of an Emergency Department Technician.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other behavioral health related fields, with one (1) year of experience in the behavioral health field setting, OR three (3) years of experience in inpatient psychiatric settings.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
