Easterseals PORT Health in Washington, NC seeks a compassionate Direct Care Technician for full-time, first shift (8am–4pm, including every other weekend) to support clients in our facility-based detox clinic. You will maintain a therapeutic, safe environment and assist with basic needs and welfare.

Entry-level on-the-job training is provided; a high school diploma or GED is required. CNA or peer-support certification helps. Benefit-rich package includes health, dental, vision, life, and 403(b).

Your Role in Our Mission:

As a Direct Care Technician, on the team you will be responsible for providing and maintaining a therapeutic and safe group environment and attending to the welfare and basic needs of clients. You will provide informal counseling in the detox center that involve behavioral techniques, reality therapy, supportive encouragement and socialization skills for the clients.

Schedule:

• Full time: First Shift: 8am - 4pm during the week and every other weekend

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive Salary: $16.82/hr. for these full-time positions.

What We’re Looking For:
