Job summary

Ada S. McKinley Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Crisis Continuum of Care Intake Specialist to be a primary contact for individuals seeking behavioral health crisis services.

The role supports MRSS, CSP, and the 590 programs, coordinating referrals, screenings, and documentation to ensure timely access to care. On-site position with competitive hourly pay and full benefits. You will work with hospitals, schools, law enforcement, and community partners, maintaining compliance with Medicaid

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• One year of experience in a related field.
• Experience in behavioral health, nonprofit, or social services preferred; familiarity with Medicaid/Rule 132/140 or DHS grants is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for crisis referrals and intake.
• Answer 988 referrals and coordinate MRSS referrals.
• Complete intake screenings and collect demographic and clinical information.
• Coordinate referrals to Crisis Continuum of Care services and staff.
• Initiate/continue crisis bed searches and endorsements.
• Monitor referral status and support timely dispatch.
• Collaborate with hospitals, schools, law enforcement, and community partners.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and generate intake reports.
• Ensure communications to referral partners are sent.
• Monitor call volume and prioritize referrals.
• Maintain compliance with Medicaid, Rule 132/140, DHS, and agency policies.
