Job summary

BrightView Health is seeking an experienced Counselor to support recovery-oriented treatment programs in North Carolina. The role focuses on group therapy, intake assessments, crisis intervention, and collaborative treatment planning within an onsite multidisciplinary team.

The candidate will document all care in the EHR, maintain regulatory compliance, and bring at least two years of related experience with LCAS or LCAS-A licensure. A strong commitment to client progress is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, state regulation compliant.
• Active clinical licensure (LCAS or LCAS-A) required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning and review progress toward goals.
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team and attend meetings.
• Document treatment data timely in the electronic health record and ensure compliance.

CLINICAL CARE

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.

TREATMENT PLANNING AND PROGRESS MONITORING

• Assist with treatment planning.
• Review progress towards treatment plan goals.

COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION

• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
• Attend required meetings, including on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.

DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE

• Timely and comprehensively document all necessary treatment data into the electronic patient health record.
• Follow adherence to all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements.

EXPERIENCE

• Preferred 2 years of experience in a relevant field

EDUCATION

• Required Consistent with state-level regulation and requirements, at minimum Bachelors Degree
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• REQUIRED Active clinical licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum LCAS or LCAS-A
