Job summary

BrightView Health in Salisbury, NC seeks a dedicated Counselor to support recovery, provide therapy, and contribute to the treatment team. You will lead group sessions, conduct assessments, ensure accurate documentation, and collaborate with an onsite multidisciplinary team to deliver quality care.

Applicants should have LCAS or LCAS-A licensure, a Bachelor's degree, and at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree required, in line with state regulations.
• Active LCAS or LCAS-A licensure.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in addiction counseling or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments.
• Provide crisis de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning and progress monitoring.
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
• Attend on-site staff and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Document treatment data timely and comprehensively in the electronic health record.
• Follow regulatory and company compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• CLINICAL CARE:
• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.

• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.

• TREATMENT PLANNING AND PROGRESS MONITORING:

• Assist with treatment planning.

• Review progress towards treatment plan goals.

• COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION:

• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.

• Attend required meetings, including on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.

• DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE:

• Timely and comprehensively document all necessary treatment data into the electronic patient health record.

• Follow adherence to all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• EXPERIENCE
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in a relevant field
• EDUCATION:
  • Required: Consistent with state-level regulation and requirements, at minimum Bachelors Degree
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• REQUIRED: Active clinical licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum LCAS or LCAS-A
