Job summary

BrightView Health is seeking a dedicated Counselor to join our Newark, OH treatment team. You will support individuals on their recovery journey, delivering group therapy, patient assessments, and crisis intervention in a dynamic clinical setting.

The role emphasizes treatment planning, progress monitoring, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, while ensuring documentation and compliance in our electronic health record system.

Qualifications

• Active clinical licensure required, consistent with state regulations.
• Bachelor's degree at minimum, state requirements.
• 2 years of experience in a relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning and monitor progress towards goals.
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team and attend required meetings.
• Timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
• Adhere to regulatory and company compliance requirements.

• CLINICAL CARE
• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• TREATMENT PLANNING AND PROGRESS MONITORING
• Assist with treatment planning.
• Review progress towards treatment plan goals.
• COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
• Attend required meetings, including on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE
• Timely and comprehensively document all necessary treatment data into the electronic patient health record.
• Follow adherence to all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements.

• EXPERIENCE
  • Preferred 2 years of experience in a relevant field
• EDUCATION
  • Required Consistent with state-level regulation and requirements, at minimum Bachelors Degree
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• REQUIRED Active clinical licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum
