Job summary

BrightView Health seeks a dedicated Counselor to contribute to our treatment team, focusing on addiction therapy, group sessions, intake assessments, and crisis intervention. You will support treatment planning, progress monitoring, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary on-site team.

Minimum state-licensed clinician with 2 years of relevant experience preferred; Bachelor’s degree required, with a stronger preference for higher credentials.

• Experience in addiction treatment preferred (2 years)
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques
• Assist with treatment planning and monitor progress toward goals
• Coordinate patient care with onsite multidisciplinary team
• Attend required on-site staff and MDT meetings
• Timely documentation in the electronic health record and ensure regulatory compliance

• CLINICAL CARE
• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• TREATMENT PLANNING AND PROGRESS MONITORING
• Assist with treatment planning.
• Review progress towards treatment plan goals.
• COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
• Attend required meetings, including on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE
• Timely and comprehensively document all necessary treatment data into the electronic patient health record.
• Follow adherence to all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements.

• EXPERIENCE
  • Preferred 2 years of experience in a relevant field
• EDUCATION
  • Required Consistent with state-level regulation and requirements, at minimum Bachelors Degree
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree
