Job summary

BrightView is seeking a dedicated Counselor to support individuals on their journey to recovery. You will contribute to our treatment team with expertise in addiction therapy, group sessions, intake assessments, and crisis intervention.

The role emphasizes collaboration with an onsite multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care. Required licensure consistent with state regulations and at least a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Must hold active clinical licensure consistent with state requirements.
• Experience delivering counseling in addiction treatment settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning and monitor progress towards goals.
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
• Attend on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Document all treatment data in the EHR and comply with regulations.

• CLINICAL CARE
• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• TREATMENT PLANNING AND PROGRESS MONITORING
• Assist with treatment planning.
• Review progress towards treatment plan goals.
• COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
• Attend required meetings, including on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE
• Timely and comprehensively document all necessary treatment data into the electronic patient health record.
• Follow adherence to all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements.

• EXPERIENCE
  • Preferred 2 years of experience in a relevant field
• EDUCATION
  • Required Consistent with state-level regulation and requirements, at minimum Bachelors Degree
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• REQUIRED Active clinical licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum
