Volunteers of America-Greater New York is seeking a Community Support Services Counselor in Elizabeth, NJ to provide behavioral health rehabilitation services and supports, helping recipients achieve recovery goals across social, employment, educational, and housing domains. The role emphasizes person-first language and recovery-oriented planning.

• The position requires a bachelor's degree in a helping profession (social work, human services, counseling, psychology, or related field).
• Or a bachelor's degree in another field with two years of professional experience in community behavioral health.
• CPRP may substitute for one year of experience; a valid driver's license is required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and update the individualized rehabilitation plan.
• Perform therapeutic rehabilitative skill development.
• Provide services to meet the service recipient needs and offer supportive counseling.
• Coordinate and manage services with the clinical team and RN.
• Document observations and services within required timeframes.
