Volunteers of America–Greater New York is seeking a Residential/Community Support Services Counselor in Clifton, NJ to provide behavioral health rehabilitation services that help recipients achieve recovery goals across social, employment, education, and housing domains.
The role requires a bachelor's degree in a helping profession or two years in a community behavioral health setting; CPRP can substitute for one year. A valid driver's license and commitment to person-centered care are essential.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position:
The Residential/Community Support Services Counselor is responsible to provide behavioral health rehabilitation services and supports that is necessary to assist the service recipient in achieving recovery goals in various life goals such as social, employment, educational, and/or housing domains. Services are provided that improve skills, self-esteem and a sense of belonging to the larger community. The Community Support Counselor maintains a wellness and recovery oriented environment by using person-first language, and person centered rehabilitation planning and evidenced based practices to service recipients who meet the eligibility criteria to receive CSS.
