Job summary

VOA Alaska is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Associate (On Call) to help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for youth in care. You will support treatment teams, assist with medication administration, and document activities and outcomes across shifts.

You will participate in program activities, support crisis intervention, and contribute to educational and recreational programming while upholding HIPAA and agency policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and communication skills are required.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on information available.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends/evenings.
• Ability to safely transport clients in agency vehicle if required.
• Participation in recreational activities with clients as appropriate.
• Strong communication with treatment team for wrap-around services.
• Two years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents.
• Administer medications as directed and document medication administration.
• Provide crisis intervention within guidelines and under supervision.
• Assist in organizing educational, vocational, and recreational programming.
• Complete required client records and incident reports on time.
• Adhere to ethics, HIPAA, and confidentiality policies.
• Communicate effectively with staff and coordinate wrap-around services.
