Job summary

The Behavioral Health Associate role at ARCH facility supports a safe, therapeutic environment in a VOA Alaska program. You will participate in treatment by helping residents implement changes and goals, manage medications, and document shift activities.

Aligned with core VOA Alaska values, this position emphasizes teamwork with case managers and clinicians to ensure wrap-around services for youth and families facing mental illness and addiction challenges.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ G.E.D.
• Two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on information available.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekend hours and holidays.
• Ability to safely transport clients in agency’s vehicle if required.
• Ability to participate in recreational activities, such as hikes, and/or indoor/outdoor events with clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents.
• Assist in treatment processes and medication facilitation as needed.
• Coordinate with Substance Use Disorder Case Managers and Mental Health Clinicians.
• Complete shift documentation and logs.
• Follow agency policies including HIPAA and confidentiality.
