Job summary

VOA Alaska seeks a Behavioral Health Associate I to support residents at the ARCH facility. You will help maintain a safe environment, assist with treatment goals, and participate in medication administration and shift documentation.

Work with Substance Use Disorder Case Managers and Mental Health Clinicians to ensure wraparound services, coordinate activities, and uphold agency policies and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ G.E.D.
• Two years of relevant experience preferred
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekend hours and holidays
• Ability to safely transport clients in agency’s vehicle if required
• Ability to participate in recreational activities, such as hikes, and/or indoor/outdoor events with clients.

Responsibilities

• Coach residents using boundaries and program rules under supervision.
• Manage safety, medication logs, and facility operations during shifts.
• Organize and participate in educational, vocational, and recreational programming.
• Complete client records, logs, and Critical Incident Reports per policy.
• Schedule: three shifts weekly, day or night coverage.
