Providing a vast continuum of behavioral health care, including outpatient, primary care office, intensive outpatient, inpatient psychiatry, crisis center, and the emergency department, you will be able to thrive and grow professionally with our strong leadership team.
Behavioral Health Clinician I’s act as an extension of the psychiatric provider. Working collaboratively with the behavioral health team, medical team, and community stakeholders, the BHC is responsible for completing psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and crisis de-escalation. They work independently to evaluate and recommend appropriate levels of care for behavioral health patients based on diagnostic criteria.
One goal of all services facilitated by the BHC is to provide psychiatric providers with necessary information to finalize dispositions, as relevant to patient needs. BHC II’s work with diverse populations, age groups, and diagnoses. They serve as primary educators on mental health topics to patients and/or family members. They facilitate patient-centered, trauma-informed brief individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy within the outpatient setting, when indicated. They initiate coordination of discharge and aftercare services, as needed.
Education & Training: Master’s Degree in Human Services (e.g., Social Work, Professional Counseling) required. Licensed as an LMSW or LGPC in Maryland required.
Work Orientation & Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience working with individuals with acute and chronic mental illness in an acute care psychiatric setting required.
Skills & Abilities: Demonstrate knowledge of behavioral health clinical practices, including psychosocial assessments, trauma-informed therapy, discharge planning, coordination with community providers, knowledge of regulations, critical thinking, communication, time management, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external partners, assess and respond to crisis situations, make independent decisions within policies and standards, and adapt work hours as needed.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $30.26 - $42.37
Other Compensation: $5k Sign-on Bonus
