Providing a vast continuum of behavioral health care, including outpatient, primary care office, intensive outpatient, inpatient psychiatry, crisis center, and the emergency department, you will be able to thrive and grow professionally with our strong leadership team.
Behavioral Health Clinician I’s act as an extension of the psychiatric provider. Working collaboratively with the behavioral health team, medical team, and community stakeholders, the BHC is responsible for completing psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and crisis de-escalation. They work independently to apply knowledge of diagnostic criteria to evaluate and recommend appropriate levels of care for behavioral health patients.
One goal of all services facilitated by the BHC is to provide psychiatric providers with necessary information to finalize dispositions, as relevant to patient needs. BHC II’s work with diverse populations, age groups, and diagnoses. They serve as primary educators on mental health topics to patients and/or families. They facilitate patient-centered, trauma-informed brief individual, family, and group therapy within the outpatient setting, when indicated. They initiate coordination of discharge and aftercare services as needed.
Education & Training: Master’s Degree in Human Services (e.g., Social Work, Professional Counseling) required. Licensure as an LMSW or LGPC in Maryland is required.
Work Orientation & Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience working with individuals with acute and chronic mental illness in an acute psychiatric setting required.
Skills & Abilities: Demonstrate knowledge and skills in behavioral health clinical practice, including psychosocial assessments, trauma-informed therapy, discharge planning, service coordination, and knowledge of regulations and insurance. Effective critical thinking, communication, time management, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners, assess and respond to crises, make independent decisions, and adapt hours as needed.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $30.26 - $42.37
Other Compensation: $5k Sign-on Bonus
