Job summary

St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ, is seeking a licensed clinician to participate part-time in both outpatient and inpatient treatment services. The role involves comprehensive assessments, individual and group therapy, discharge planning, and family education, on units with substance-related presentations.

Requirements include MA in counseling, NJ LCADC license, and at least two years of clinical experience in psychiatric or chemical dependency settings. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• MA degree in counseling or related field with course hours in alcohol and drug counseling.
• Two years of clinical experience in psychiatric, chemical dependency, or residential treatment preferred.
• Experience counseling chemically dependent adults and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, individual and group therapy.
• Discharge planning and referrals; liaison with treatment team.
• Document all client contacts; educate and support client and family members.
