Job summary

Ccannj is seeking a dedicated Full Time Substance Abuse Counselor for their Mount Carmel Guild Substance Use program in Cranford, NJ. The successful candidate will provide counseling services to clients at level 1 and 2.1, conduct individual and group sessions, and assist with treatment planning and documentation.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Substance Abuse Counselor for our Mount Carmel Guild Substance Use program in Cranford, NJ.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide substance use counseling to clients in the substance use program level 1 and level 2.1. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions, carry a caseload of clients, complete prior authorizations, document progress notes in electronic health record. Implement evidence-based modalities to assist clients in their recovery. Complete treatment plans, and other documentation according to agency standards. Admit clients using NJSAMS. Collect weekly UDS. Make referrals to detox, inpatient, mental health or supportive services. Supervise interns.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Masters Degree in Counseling, social work, or psychology.
• LCADC or CADC required.
• LAC, LPC, LSW or LCSW preferred.
• Experience completing prior authorizations and using NJSAMS.
• Knowledge of IOP level of treatment.

Salary: $65,000
