Position Summary: The Behavioral Health (BH) Clinician provides comprehensive crisis intervention and stabilization to persons with acute psychiatric issues, serious mental illness, dual diagnoses, and substance use-related issues. The role aims to prevent unnecessary hospitalizations and lengthy emergency department stays, de-escalate and prevent worsening or future crises. The clinician will also assess the need for higher levels of care, including inpatient psychiatric hospitalization and crisis stabilization units.
