Job summary

Turning Point Recovery Center of New Mexico is seeking a detail-oriented Behavioral Health Claims Processor for an in-person role in Albuquerque. You will review and verify behavioral health claims before submission, focusing on accuracy and timeliness to support revenue cycle functions.

You will work with EHR systems and billing software, handling claims for urine drug screens and Peer Support services, while coordinating with insurers to resolve denials and ensure proper reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management.
• Experience with EHR systems and medical billing software.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify the accuracy of behavioral health claims before submission.
• Process claims for urine drug screens, Peer Support, and other programs.
• Maintain billing spreadsheets and reports for financial tracking.
• Use electronic clearinghouses to submit claims and monitor denials.
• Work with insurers to resolve reimbursement questions.
