Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with insurance collections training.
• Minimum two years experience in insurance follow-up, billing, and collections.
• Strong communication and computer literacy; able to work in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs denial follow-up activities for assigned payors utilizing work queues.
• Submits corrected claims, reconsiderations and/or appeals to overturn denials.
• Provide information requested by insurance companies to process claims and overturn denials.
• Follow processes to ensure timely follow up on denials.
• Document accounts per Presbyterian Health Services policies/procedures.
• Knowledgeable in EHR, claims clearinghouse, FISS/DDE, Payer portals, MS Office.
• Communicate effectively and participate in team meetings; develop professional relationships.
