Job summary

Mosaic Life Care in northwest Missouri seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to support the Behavioral Health Unit. You will work under the Director and RN to assist patients with daily living activities and monitor overall wellbeing, maintaining a therapeutic milieu.

The role emphasizes observation, documentation of vitals, and interdisciplinary communication. Completion of BLS and CPI within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma required.
• UAP training or CNA/nursing program within 3 years required.
• Experience as nurse assistant in inpatient setting preferred.
• BLS and CPI training required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains communication and therapeutic relationships with patients, respecting dignity and values.
• Conducts and records patient observation rounds per standards.
• Communicates needs of patients/changes in condition to caregivers.
• Assists patients with ADLs and personal laundry as needed.
• Performs care tasks including vital signs, specimens, and documenting intake.
• Intervenes with unsafe patient behavior and safety rules.
• Assists in placing patients in seclusion or restraints per standards.
• Monitors environment for safety and participates in searches.
• Provides educational groups and Community & Goals groups as assigned.
• Travel between facilities as needed.
