Job summary

Brightli in Poplar Bluff, MO, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician I to provide direct, supportive care in a recovery services setting. You will monitor health, document behavior, and help create a safe, therapeutic environment while engaging in group education and crisis intervention.

The role emphasizes empathetic communication, patient transport as needed, and collaboration with the treatment team to ensure client needs are met.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with two years of responsible employment.
• Experience in Human Services or related field preferred.
• For Residential Care Facility (RCF): Credential as Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) and insulin certified within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients.
• Encourage clients to adhere to program expectations with trauma-informed communication.
• Monitor vital signs and escalate to medical intervention when needed.
• Obtain and record vital signs and symptoms as directed by medical staff.
• Oversee medication administration per policy and procedure.
• Maintain accurate records of client medications and self-administration.
• Facilitate urine collection, testing, and documentation.
