Job summary

Americare Behavioral Health, LLC is seeking an organized Medical Billing Department Staff member to support daily billing operations and revenue cycle activities in-office. The role coordinates with the outsourced biller, monitors billing progress, and prepares financial reports and statements of account.

The ideal candidate has a Medical Billing Certificate and 1–2 years of behavioral health billing experience, with strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Medical Billing Certificate from a recognized program.
• Minimum of one to two years of experience in a behavioral health clinic billing, patient accounts, collections, or billing administration.
• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the outsourced medical billing company for day-to-day operations.
• Prepare copay and patient balance reports and collect payments.
• Generate statements of account and respond to routine client inquiries about balances.
• Maintain accurate billing records and reconcile payments with billing system entries.
• Protect confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA.
