Job summary

Graceland Psychiatry is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support day-to-day medical billing operations for our behavioral health practice in San Antonio. You will handle claims submission, accounts receivable, payment posting, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and collaborate with clinical staff to keep the revenue cycle accurate.

Strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10, HIPAA compliance, and experience with QuickBooks or similar software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing for psychiatric/behavioral health settings.
• Proficiency with CPT/ ICD-10 coding and claim processing.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar software and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end medical billing including claims submission and posting.
• Manage accounts receivable and patient/payment communications.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations as needed.
• Perform journal entries and account reconciliations with care.
• Collaborate with clinicians, front desk, and compliance on billing issues.
• Identify denied claims and resubmit or appeal as appropriate.
