Damar Services in Indiana is seeking a Clinical Authorization Coordinator to support billing, clinical quality review, and provider relations across treatment teams. This role helps ensure accurate claim submissions, monitors services, and tracks renewal dates. You will support multiple teams to keep care seamless and compliant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or applicable discipline.
• Experience in social service field preferred.
• Experience with clinical documentation requirements and prior authorization processes (DCS, Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance).
• Ability to pass Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification and CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Attends mandatory staff and other meetings as assigned.
• Establishes and maintains communication with pay sources including Medicaid and Medicare.
• Tracks behavioral health patient admissions and discharges.
• Monitors initial documentation and annual renewal dates.
• Collaborates with Accounting regarding accurate client billing.
• Submits and tracks approval of clinical prior authorizations.
• Provides administrative support for clinical teams.
