Qualifications

• At least one year experience as a BHA.
• One+ years’ experience with the facility population.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required.
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report client behaviors; provide continuous client care and supervision.
• Conduct safety checks and supervise clients per individualized guidelines.
• Check contraband and manage client belongings securely.
• Document in client records timely and accurately.
• Respond in crisis situations and medical emergencies as needed.
• Lead educational-rehabilitative groups on social skills, coping, anger management, living skills.
• Assist with admissions and discharges; coordinate transportation as required.
• Provide shift reports and orient new clients to programs and staff.
