Job summary

Safe Harbor Recovery Center in Portsmouth, Virginia is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate II (QMHP Preferred) to join its multidisciplinary treatment team. You will monitor client behaviors, provide supervision and care, and respond to crises as needed.

This part-time position pays $21–$23 per hour. QMHP certification is preferred, with at least 1 year of BHA experience recommended. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience as a Behavioral Health Aide (BHA).
• CPR and de-escalation certification required (training available upon hire).
• Experience with the population served preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report client behaviors to supervisor.
• Provide continuous client care, supervision, interaction and role modeling.
• Assist in data collection, recording, and maintenance of client records.
• Respond to crises and medical emergencies as needed.
• Participate in educational and rehabilitative group activities with clients.
• Document in client records timely and accurately.
