Job summary

Turning-Point-Community-Programs seeks a dedicated Direct Service Specialist to support members in achieving personal goals within the community. You will advocate for services, assist with housing and transportation, and provide medication outreach coordination with clinicians and pharmacies.

The role includes after-hours on-call coverage. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 2+ years of direct mental health services experience; lived experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years full-time equivalent experience delivering direct mental health services.
• Lived experience is a plus.
• Optimum: two to four years of direct mental health services experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist members to identify and progress toward goals.
• Empower members to meet goals; provide vocational support.
• Develop and implement activities, programming, and groups.
• Facilitate communication among agencies.
• Coordinate client meds outreach; communicate with doctor and pharmacy.
• Educate community and other agencies.
• Transport members to appointments and activities; field visits for outreach.
• Provide crisis intervention and on-the-spot support consistent with program philosophy.
• Maintain client records and documentation per standards.
