Job summary

TrueCare in Vista, CA is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate to support students in schools, run small groups, and conduct individual check-ins. You will help identify at-risk youth and assess clinical status to determine appropriate care.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field, active CA registration/licensing, and proficiency with EMR systems and MS Office. BLS certification and a CA driver’s license are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, clinical psychology or Ph.D./Psy.D. in psychology.
• Active registration with California licensing boards or credentials as ASW/AMFT/APCC/psychologist trainee.
• Experience working with middle school students and in a school setting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with electronic health/medical record systems and Microsoft Office suite.

Your Role & Impact

The Behavioral Health Associate works in the schools, facilitates small groups, provides individual check-ins, and parent assessments. The Behavioral Health Associate also assists in detecting "at risk" patients, recognizing and treating mental health conditions, and assesses the clinical status of patients to determine the most appropriate level of care.

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, clinical psychology or Ph.D./Psy.D. in psychology from an accredited program.
• Active Registrationwith the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a pre-licensed Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW); Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT); Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC); Active Registration with the California Board of Psychology as post-doctoral pre-licensed psychologist; or a Pupil Personnel Services Credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
• Experience working with middle school students and facilitating groups.
• Experience working in a school setting is highly desired.
• Computer proficiency, particularly with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems and the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association
• Valid California Driver’s License, proof of insurance and clean driving record.

The pay range for a licensed clinician is $70,304 to $105,456.
