Job summary

TrueCare in Escondido, CA, seeks a Behavioral Health Associate to support underserved communities in school settings. You’ll facilitate small groups, conduct individual check-ins, and assist with parent assessments, using clinical judgment to guide levels of care.

Required: Master’s or higher in SW/therapy/psychology, active licensure, experience with middle schoolers, and proficiency with EHRs and MS Office. Competitive pay, generous PTO, and strong benefits offered.

• Active BBS or Board of Psychology registration as required.
• Experience working with middle school students and in groups.
• School setting experience is highly desired.

Your Role & Impact

The Behavioral Health Associate works in the schools, facilitates small groups, provides individual check-ins, and parent assessments. The Behavioral Health Associate also assists in detecting "at risk" patients, recognizing and treating mental health conditions, and assesses the clinical status of patients to determine the most appropriate level of care.

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology or PhD / PsyD in Psychology from an accredited program.
• Active Registration with the BBS as a pre-licensed ACSW, AMFT, or APCC or Active Registration with the Board of Psychology as post-doctoral pre-licensed psychologist
• Experience working with middle school students and facilitating groups.
• Experience working in a school setting is highly desired.
• Computer proficiency, particularly with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems and the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association
• Valid California Driver’s License, proof of insurance and clean driving record.

The pay range for a licensed clinician is $70,304 to $105,456.
