Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's White Deer Run/York facility seeks a Behavioral Health Associate for a full-time second shift (Thursday–Saturday). You will provide personal care under clinical supervision, ensuring patient safety and a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include safety checks at 15-minute intervals, documenting in the medical record, assisting with activities of daily living, and facilitating educational‑rehabilitative groups on social and coping skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services under clinical or nursing supervision.
• Maintain patient safety and provide a supportive environment.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure supervision at 15-minute intervals.
• Document timely, accurate clinical information in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for patients, families and staff.
• Interact with patients and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed ( toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, hydration, etc.).
• Facilitate educational‑rehabilitative groups on topics such as social skills, coping skills and independent living.
• Engage patients in activities to help achieve treatment goals.
• Complete and maintain required documentation; assist with follow-up and incident paperwork.
• May provide transportation for patients or coordinate with staff.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers and address complaints.
