Job summary

Haverhill Pavilion Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Associate to join our dedicated team. You will provide 1:1 patient support on a structured unit, under nurse supervision, contributing to a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals in acute psychiatric crises.

The role includes safety checks, crisis de-escalation, and collaboration with nursing and treatment staff. We offer competitive hourly pay with shift differentials and part-time schedules across 24 hours

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience with a similar patient population preferred.
• CPR, de-escalation and restraint certification; training provided upon hire.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
• Part-time role: 24 hours per week with shifts 3:30PM–11:00PM.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety checks and ensure supervision at 15 minute intervals.
• Interact with patients to assess mental status and needs; communicate with nursing staff.
• Provide 1:1 support and maintain therapeutic engagement during shifts.
• Float to different units based on staffing needs.
• Educate colleagues on triggers, warning signs, and coping strategies.
• Protect patient rights and support discharge planning.
