Job summary

Haverhill Pavilion is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate to join our interdisciplinary team. Under RN supervision, you will provide 1:1 patient care and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises.

You will collaborate with nurses and other clinicians to deliver compassionate, individualized care during admission and treatment. Responsibilities include conducting regular safety checks, engaging patients in assessments, and communicating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (education).
• Experience in human services or hospital settings preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 patient care and participate in safety checks every 15 minutes.
• Assess mental status and progress toward treatment goals during shifts.
• Communicate observations to nursing staff to support patient care.
• Support a therapeutic environment and encourage participation in activities.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and CPI-based safety procedures.
• Participate in orientation of new Behavioral Health Associates and attend department meetings.
