Job summary

Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, AL is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care under supervision. You will assist with vital signs, daily living activities, and maintaining each patient’s dignity while working as a care partner with clinical leadership.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Certified Nursing Assistant certification and BCLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to interact with patients, visitors and staff.

A Little About The Job....

• Under supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs various service duties and routine technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living while maintaining patient’s dignity.
• Position functions as a care partner under the supervision of the clinical leadership of the department.
• Tasks performed are in accordance with department and hospital policies and procedures and are in compliance with accreditation guidelines and all appropriate legislative Acts.

Qualifications For The Job...

• High school education or equivalent required. Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred. BCLS Certification preferred.
• Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel.
• Work requires level of knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures and techniques generally acquired through hospital or other training program. Consistently meet standards in job performance.
• Must successfully complete hospital specialized training program with associated on-the-job procedure certification.
